Average Looking Mat

Mat: an affectionate term for a Malay male; not the thing that you step on at the front door.

sometimes i wonder...

do you all know the song by Britney Spears... ok ok i know what it is... i am actually quoting BRITNEY!!!

is that spelled with 2 'T's or 1? does it matter? so sue me!!! its worse than actually liking Brittney by writing in a very private diary... but denouncing her in public!!!

in any case, the reason that song that went ... 'sometimes i wonder, sometimes i... something, something...' been playing in my head was because if someone have time to log into other people's lives, as in gossip wise, i wonder what would they do in their spare time... i mean, hey, i am no angel when it comes to gossip... but i would just like to listen to gossips becos... that's what they are... gossips... something unconfirmed yet quite juicy ... yum yum...

well back to the spare time thing... i think i perhaps have the most boring activities during these so called spare time (some people forsake the necessary and selfproclaim it a day off) ... reading, writing, practise guitar, listening to music, football, cook... no wait that one's a necessity ... dont y'all think that's so damn boring... though i am in for anything gossipy, most of the time i cant be bothered...

boring person i am...

which brings me to the next thing that i would like to talk about...

boring people...

i have only one criteria for that... if the person, for time and eternity speaks about the same thing again and again and again.... ok getting sleepy now... maaaan... how can these people live with themselves? dont they hear themselves saying the same thing over and over again every single day ... in Malay this is called... tak ada modal... literally translated... no capital.. as in no capital for building something new...

ok ok i know this is perhaps an unfair criticism cos i am not perfect either... but i wouldnt want to sound like a broken record... does any of the new generation know of this phrase? broken record? nevermind watever...

...wh.. wh ... wh ... wh.... wh.... what is your na... na... na... na... na... name...

sounds ridiculous doesnt it?

the next 'play' has nothing to do with what i have written above...

Characters:
Chinese Man (CM)
Indian Dude (ID)

Location:
Singapore Johore Causeway in a Public Bus

ID-does this bus go to KL?

i did not turn around but obviously alerted by such an audacious question...

CM-KL?

obviously very surprised... and so was i!

ID-does this bus go to KL

CM-no... no ...

ID-So how do i go to KL?

CM-first you must go to the 'there'

as he points towards the customs booths

ID-What?

CM-to the there! to the there!

Indian man obviously perplexed by the clear instructions...

CM (confidently)-you go to the there and chop passport and take bus...

ID-Huh!??

CM- Go to the there! go to the there!!!

exasperated the Indian man looks outside and sees that a lot of people are walking towards a direction... he gets off...

well, as Fidah once said wisely, 'Monkey see, Monkey do...'
